Under Cyntergy AEC's IDIQ with the Oklahoma ANG, engineering services were provided for the reconstruction of the F-16 apron at the ANG base in Tulsa. The existing concrete apron was built over two phases in 1959 and 1962 and had generated enormous amounts of FOD from durability cracking distresses (D-Cracking) of the concrete aggregate. The new apron was sized to accommodate eighteen F-16 aircraft parking positions, plus an additional four positions for the combined mission area serving arm/disarm, hung munitions and fire control radar check facility functions. Cyntergy utilized the specialty services of Tigerbrain Engineering to complete the airfield design and planning on this project.
